What’s BIM?People mayhave different understanding toward BIM, according to description of thenational standards NBIMS of the U.S, it expresses three meanings:
(1) Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the act of creating an electronic model of a facility for the purpose of visualization, engineering analysis, conflict analysis, codecriteria checking, cost engineering, as-built product, budgeting and many other purposes. (2) Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. A BIMis a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility forming are liable basis for decisions during its life-cycle.(3) BIM is an evolving processand will continue to mature.
Therefore, we can regard BIM as a kind of technology and ideas, plus is geared to the needs of whole life cycle of projects, based on the three-dimensional digital technology, the digital expression of project entity and the features, carryingand sharing all kinds of information of project, provide reliable support fordecision, to improve efficiency and reduce cost. 参考译文：

对于BIM不同的人有不同的理解，根据美国国家标准NBIMS的描述，它表达了三层含义：（1）BIM是对建筑物建立数字模型的一种行为，主要是为了可视化、工程分析、碰撞分析、规范检查、成本管理、编制竣工图以及造价预估算。（2）BIM是对建筑物物理实体和功能特性的数字化表达，并在建筑物整个生命周期信息共享，为决策提供可靠的基础。（3）BIM是一个不断变化的过程，并且会逐渐成熟。因此，我们可以认为BIM作为一种技术和理念，是面向项目全生命周期，以三维数字技术为基础，对工程项目实体与功能特性的数字化表达，并承载和共享工程项目各种相关信息，为决策提供可靠的支持，从而达到提高效率，降低成本的目的。 有没有BIM专门在桥梁上的应用教程之类的资料？
